Why The Latin Experience Exists? Our Mission and Vision
The Latin Experience exists to bring people together and create a home away from home for Latin expats and lovers of Latin culture in the Netherlands. Our mission is to build authentic, creative events that foster connections, celebrate Latin traditions, and support a growing community of Latin expats. We believe in the power of shared experiences, made possible through a dedicated team of collaborators, family, and friends who have contributed to turning this vision into reality.
Our Journey from Content Creation to Community
First Latin event organized by
Manuel Rodriguez – May 27, 2022. (70 attendees)
Manuel Rodriguez, founder of The Latin Experience and known on YouTube as Doblev M, started by sharing his life in the Netherlands, creating a genuine bond with his followers. He organized his first event in Amsterdam on May 27, 2022, a gathering for Latinos seeking friendship and connection, a bridge for those who felt isolated from their roots.
Encouraged by the positive response, Manuel continued to host more events. The second event—a barbecue in collaboration with the catering company El Momento—brought 300 attendees. By the third event, Latin Halloween Experience, attendance reached 700, featuring live shows, Latin food, and a unique cultural theme. This event also gained visibility through Claudia Arroyo (@Latina_in_the_netherlands), who joined the project. As the first year post-pandemic, these gatherings offered a safe, joyous return to community life.
In November 2022, Manuel founded The Latin Experience, with a commitment to creating culturally rich events that truly represent the Latin spirit. The brand’s image team played a vital role in marketing and spreading the word, creating authentic and unique TLX concepts.
Partnership and Expansion
In 2023, Enrique Oropeza joined The Latin Experience as a partner, bringing his expertise as a tech lawyer, content creator, public relations manager, and investor. Enrique’s role has been pivotal in developing new concepts and expanding the brand’s reach. Together, Manuel and Enrique lead with values of authenticity, inclusivity, and a commitment to high-quality events that bring Latin culture to life in the Netherlands.
Bringing Latin Culture to Life in the Netherlands
Today, The Latin Experience hosts events attended by over 1000 people and has become a benchmark for high-quality Latin entertainment in the Netherlands. Our events collaborate with top local Latin artists and the best of Latin cuisine, offering an experience like no other. From the Latin Food Experience to The Mexican Experience (celebrating Mexican Independence Day and Día de Muertos), each event highlights the beauty and richness of Latin traditions, building connections among expats and people passionate about Latin culture.
Our growing community remains as warm and welcoming as ever, an inclusive space where friends and families come together to celebrate. The Latin Experience Community continues this mission by bringing people together in smaller, more intimate gatherings, reinforcing bonds and creating unforgettable memories.
